Redeemed Reason

Listen, I wanted to drop you a note on redeemed reason...

I think it's important to understand that human reason or the rational mind that's un-submitted to the spirit is antagonistic and at enmity to the spirit.  So we need to learn to think and reason with a spiritual mind.

The wisdom of God and the ways of God are often  contrary to regular human logic and even considered foolish, and so spiritual things (and all things are spiritual when it comes to how we relate to them) must be discerned by the spirit.

We have to learn to live and operate and see things from a supernatural perspective; the mind of Christ is meant to be the genius and intelligence with operate and live from. Otherwise we may find ourselves fighting against  or resisting the will and plan of God to our own hurt.  This is so critical in this hour and it's critical to growing in maturity!

We have to understand that faith is the confidence of what we hope for and the evidence or assurance...

Your divine Purpose: Do you have a Plan?

This is a season of both shaking and awakening and significant transition into a new era....and in such seasons there is intensified warfare to both delay and disrupt the people of God from walking into their God given purposes and the over all intent of God in this hour.

We cannot be ignorant of the enemy's schemes and we must stand guard being vigilant in both prayer and purpose.   We have to be both praying and Acting in accordance with the word of God and the unique things He has called us too.

If you are not fully focused on your assignment then you are distracted, and if distracted, then you're not advancing. If we're not advancing then we are stuck and more prone to be lulled asleep.....we need to be advancing, engaged in the fight, and releasing breakthrough!!

This is not an hour to be casual or you can become a casualty.  It's time to fight the good fight!

We must hear what the Lord is saying to us, come aside and listen, inquire,...

Work Stressed...

Healthy Eating, Exercise, Sleep, Stress Management, being connected in relationships, prayer (casting your burden on the Lord and trusting in His grace and leadership) and good Supplementation can all be a part of dealing with work place stress!

Check this out:

According to research, the percentage of Americans who are stressed at work is high, and it’s only getting higher. According to the CDC’s National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, studies have found the number of Americans who are “extremely stressed at work” range between 29 percent to 40 percent.

Unfortunately, work stress has significant health consequences that range from the relatively benign—more colds and flus—to the more serious, like heart disease and metabolic syndrome. But, because stress at work is so common, finding a low-stress job may be difficult or impossible for many people.

A more realistic choice would be to simply adopt more effective...

The Law of Self Awareness: you must know yourself to grow yourself

Growing up, my life was pretty turbulent and marked by fear, people pleasing, and a lot of unpleasant transitions….these things kept me from dreaming, having goals, being secure with myself, being honest with others and therefore not fully honest with myself.

I would lie so much i believed my own lies…kinda of funny... but pretty sad.  Now, with such insecurity you may think that would make someone pretty self aware or too self aware, but the fears and self protecting mechanisms  in my life actually kept me pretty detached from the type of self awareness that would lead to transformation and growth…. the safety of my lies kept me from being rejected, at least for a time until i was either trapped or exposed, and it was that way for many years in my life.

I was gifted and charismatic but that didn't mean i was growing as a person, and if anything i just grew more sophisticated in people pleasing, manipulation, and self deception. And as some of...

The law of Intentionality & 4 Gaps that stop your Personal Growth

When it comes to growing as a person we need to talk about  the Law of Intentionality - which says, “growth doesn't just happen by itself or by accident.”

This law is so all encompassing in my mind  and so attractive in that points to and empowers us in making transformative decisions that can shift our life and the lives of those around us.  It reminds me of the Lord who says, life and death is before you, so chose life….to be intentional speaks to our power of choice. To have the ability to chose strengthens us or should encourage us to chose well and wisely As to make the most of our lives,  and this applies to every area of life and faith and development.

To chose life and whats right and good and true, Infuses our lives with joy, it points to opportunity and promise and potential and invites us into the hopeful future just beyond the next right decision.

The truth is though, we are all prone to wanna Coast and follow the path...

Your Moral Compass

Clarity is one of those things that needs to permeate everything in our lives, and this takes time and intentionality.  Today I want to share with you a little about setting our internal compass - the inner framework that directs our decisions and determines how we engage with life.

To live with clarity and live a deeply satisfying life we need to understand our roles in life, our values, and our convictions. Listen to this quote from an organization that focuses on teaching character education in various learning institutions and programs, this quote is in context teaching core values,

“..if we focus solely on teaching academic content without a moral compass, what kind of citizens are we producing? Educated people that lack a strong moral foundation run the risk of applying their skills in ways that do not enhance the quality of our world. Even worse, they run the risk of using those skills  to lead people in the wrong direction, and if one day they find...

The Necessity of Rest

Stress is among the top killers in america!  People are more stressed than they realize and those that know it have most likely already had a breakdown and are exhausted.  By that time it is too late and much damage has been done. It’s like dehydration, its altogether disorienting and can kill you.  By the time you feel Thirsty it is already an indicator that we are dehydrated....my point is we should be proactive and not reactive, learning to thrive and not merely survive.  We should be “hydrating” along the way and not waiting until its potentiality detrimental. We must be intentional and disciplined in life. Part of that discipline is a discipline of rest, relaxation, recovery, and recreation.

Life is built on various tensions; pressure and release, sprinting and resting, pushing and pulling, stopping and starting, death and life.....etc.   There is wisdom to be learned from in the pattern of rhythms and timing. We can see...

The power of movement and vulnerability - Healing the mind-Body connection - my story

Let me tell you a little bit about me and how the arts have been a agent of healing grace and personal transformation....

So as a child I experienced a measure of trauma and suffered from depression, anxiety, and fits of rage.  PTSD was a part of my life from the affects of my father who was a Vietnam Vet who suffered deeply after the war.  My household was fused with fear, violence, and instability.

We escaped from home in FL and transitioned to Massachusetts to live with my uncle.  We left with the clothes on our back, my mom and us 4 kids.....it was a terrible night and traumatic for everyone.  But Thank God we all made it.  At the same time i loved my dad deeply and needed a father.  That was ripped out of my life and was a void that had lasting ripple affects.  Sadly, many of us can relate...

To fast forward, let me say that such brokenness has many layers of affects in our lives and development as people and deeply affects our...

Article 1 - 3 Success Habits

Uncategorized

I believe in the journey but I also believe in getting desired results.  When it comes to hitting our goals and accomplishing what we set our heart and mind towards, there’s  two things: results and ugly excuses for not achieving results. Humanity and therefore, society, is really good at pointing the finger and making excuses.  Most, simply accept that. In the west and let’s just focus in on America—our days are full of over stimulation, jam-packed with activity, most being pulled in a thousand different directions, and primarily depressed.  It’s sad, but true!!   Side note, but did you know that prescribed anti-depressants have gone up 400% in the last 30 years! According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 1 in 10 Americans over age 12 now takes an antidepressant, the study finds, and yet two-thirds of those with severe symptoms of depression do not take antidepressants at all....
